Isle Surf's Standup Paddleboard Scholarship

The idea of how to pay for college can be tough and even daunting for most of us. With some many restrictions on scholarships awarded by universities and colleges, it's no wonder you never thought there would be a scholarship you could obtain.

So what if you didn't have a 4.0 GPA, or belonged to every single extracurricular activity there was offered at your high school. You may not have aced that standardized test and perhaps there are no alumni in your immediate family to win an alumni scholarship.

Isle Surfboards has decided to launch the Isle Surf's Standup Paddleboard Scholarship with little restrictions on who can apply and who can win! We've thrown out all the rules in terms of restrictions according to race, GPA, extracurricular activities, standardized test scores, what you plan to major in (let's be honest, you are probably going to change that anyway), or what your family income is.

So what are we offering?

The Isle Surf's Standup Paddleboard Scholarship is an all-inclusive opportunity from Isle Surfboards for applicants to dig deep into their creative side and just be themselves. We are looking for the best essay response to the given prompt:

[Insert Essay Prompt]

Isle Surfboards is looking for an essay to be 500 words in length, please keep this word limit in mind while writing your essay, we don't want novels to read. We are also looking for the most creative and compelling essay in response to the prompt.

Our first round of the scholarship will award 1 $500 Scholarship to the best and most creative essay.

Am I Required to Use the Winnings on Tuition?

There are no restrictions on what you have to use the winnings on. We no the expenses that arise from being a college student, books, rent, dining, supplies, gas, etc. You can use this money to take some of the worry off about how you will be able to purchase that easel for your art elective.

How Do I Submit My Essay?

Once you have completed your masterpiece you should submit it by emailing us a word doc to scholarship@islesurfboards.com.

Please attach your essay to the email as a Word Document. Again, we can't emphasis this enough.

You should also include:

  • Your Legal Name (so you can cash your check!)
  • Address
  • Phone Number
  • School Name

One of the few restrictions is that this contest is only open for one submission per person.

How Will You Announce the Winner?

We will be announcing the winner on our Facebook page and on Twitter. You can like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter.

If you have any further questions, please email scholarship@islesurfboards.com and we will answer them as quick as we can. Unless we are out traveling the world in search of killer waves, but we promise we will get back to you as quickly as possible though.
