Suntech Softboards
In addition to the fiberglass surfboards we offer here at Isle Surfboards, we offer Suntech Softboards constructed with a vinyl skin. These boards do not have a fiberglass shell, which means they are softer and won't leave you with any bumps or bruises during your first sessions out in the water. Also, the fins aren't sharp as on a normal board, so no need to worry about getting cut on them. We also carry Isle Surfboard's Soft Deck boards. These are real epoxy surfboards, the rails and top of these soft deck boards are covered in eva foam to create a soft deck. Softboards are definitely a safer alternative to the fiberglass board.
Who Should Use a Softboard?
Softboards a great idea for children, as well as beginner surfers of all ages. These boards are selling at a lower price than your typical fiberglass board, and Isle Surfboards offers Suntech Softboards, a premium brand of softboards. Built and tested down in the waves of Peru (an excellent surfing location), these boards will allow beginners a better chance of learning how to maneuver and ride a board properly. There are many poorly constructed and shaped beginners' boards out on the market, and making the mistake of purchasing one of these boards can create a steep learning curve for some beginners.
Soft Surfboard Construction
Suntechs are designed with a more firm, yet more easily maneuverable form of material than the sponge-like substance of a boogie board. Don't be deceived because of their lower costs, just because the Suntech softboards are priced lower than fiberglass boards doesn't mean their materials are of a lesser quality. These softboards are designed with aircraft-quality vinyl and a hardwood stringer so the board won't bend and break as you're catching wave after wave on them.
The Isle SoftDeck epoxy surfboards are built in our standard ECORE epoxy construction then wrapped with an 1/4 inch supersoft EVA foam decking wrap on the top deck and rails. The soft deck has built in traction with no wax needed.
The epoxy/eps core makes these boards both strong and light while the supersoft foam decking wrap makes them quite forgiving. You get a real epoxy surfboard with a soft deck so your ride is nearly identical to what you would experience on a real epoxy surfboard. And you also get extreme durability of epoxy construction so you can be confident they will hold up against the wear and tear of the beginner surfer.
Many softboards on the market are poorly constructed from low quality materials and can fall apart quickly. Dont settle for cheap imitations and get your Isle SoftDeck Epoxy Surfboard today.
At Isle Surfboards, we are proud to offer you some of the highest quality softboards on the market. Choose among a selection of various colors and sizes to purchase the perfect softboard to complement your individual style. Don't let the higher prices of a fiberglass board stop you from surfing--with softboards, it's easy and inexpensive to get out there and start ripping!
