Surfboard Design
Surfboard Designs come in all shapes and sizes. The way your surfboard is shaped is a direct reflection of how it will perform in a variety of surf conditions.
Here at Isle Surfboards we take surfboard design serious and understand what goes in to making an all around quality surfboard design. We cater our designs around beginner, intermediate and advanced surfers and use the latest in shaping technology to ensure you get the best surfboard for your money.
Maintaining Our Design
Until recent years most boards would be hand shaped and milled out of large blocks of surfboard foam. But the advent of the CNC surfboard shaping machine in the late 90s has moved surfboard design and shaping into the new millennium.
Now we can catalog all our best shapes in the computer so they are in essence digitized. This assures we can produce the same shape every time we design a set model and add it to the catalog. This ensures we replicate our magic shapes over and over without a loss in surfboard design from the original master shape.
The computer does not make mistakes or get lazy. We at Isle Surfboards have over 50 models programmed into our CNC computer. Everything from a performance shortboard to a classic longboard.
Now we can take all our base surfboard designs and make changes and edit the files based on the feedback from our customers. So we can keep those magic boards on file for years to come. We as surfboard shapers can now concentrate more on the design aspect rather than spend countless hours in the shaping bay mowing foam.
